Mother’s Day is this weekend, Sunday May 9. Show mom how much you appreciate everything she does for you by sharing the day with her. Your time is something mom can’t buy, although it’s the one thing she would pay a million dollars for. Make this Mother’s Day extra special by going somewhere as a family that let’s mom in for FREE! The Crayola Factory invites mom’s to get in free on Sunday with a paying child. Once there, you and your child can take part in any of the activities they offer.
The Crayola FACTORY features more than a dozen interactive exhibits designed to foster creativity and teach kids of all ages to think outside the lines. Many exhibits feature hands-on programming and activities.
At Cool Moves, everyone can create art just by moving their bodies! This psychedelic color kaleidoscope records your every move and then projects it on a giant screen in cool colors and patterns to create one-of-a-kind art. Designed by artist Ed Tannenbaum, Cool Moves is one of the most colorful hangouts in The Crayola FACTORY!
Anyone celebrating Mother’s Day on Saturday? Visit your local Lowes Store for a free workshop from 10-11am where kids can build a wooden trellis planter for mom. The children will receive additional fun gifts like an apron, a patch, and goggles. What a fun way for your child to say Happy Mother’s Day…by building something with their own two hands just for mom!
Another free event to celebrate Mother’s Day weekend is the Bethlehem Fine Arts and Craft Show. Taking place on Main Street in Bethlehem, this sidewalk show will feature 87 artists and crafters on Saturday 10am-5pm, and Sunday 11am-5pm.
With all of the events happening in The Lehigh Valley, it won’t be hard to enjoy this Mother’s Day weekend with mom and family and show her how much she truly means to you!
