Summer is coming to a close and it’s almost time for your kids to go back to school.  This time of year can be costly with new cloths, books, and supplies, but organizations in the Lehigh County are making it a little easier by giving away free back packs, school supplies, and fun!

From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Aug. 21, The Salvation Army, 144 N. 8th St. Allentown will be having a “Back to School Carnival” with lots of fun and games. Children must be present to receive backpacks and school supplies.

From 10 a.m. to noon, Aug. 27, St. Luke’s Neighborhood Center, 435 N. 7th St., Allentown will be having a back pack giveaway.  Children must be present.

From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Aug. 29, Resurrected Life Community Church, 144 N. 9th St., Allentown will be having a “Back to School Bash”.  Bring lawn chairs and enjoy a day of worship and fellowship.  Free back to school haircuts and back packs will be given.  Children must be present.

Stop by one of these places to help your family with the cost of getting ready for a new school year to start.

If you have used back packs or school supplies that you can donate to others who may need it, please mention it to any of these locations.  Help support others who may be in need of basic essentials for school.

Does anyone know of anywhere else students can receive free supplies for school in the Lehigh Valley?
